I’ve been training dogs and working with canine behavioral issues as a certified dog trainer since 2003. I love working with dogs at all stages of life — whether they are just puppies that are new to your family or older dogs that have developed behavioral problems later in life.
I practice force-free, fear-free training and positive reinforcement in my sessions, whether we’re working on potty training, basic obedience, jumping, leash walking, growling, barking or other issues. I believe in praising your pup’s positive behaviors — that’s what really helps transform your relationship with them. This is a science-based training I’ve studied for years. I also maintain close ties with many veterinarians in the community in order to take a more holistic approach to dog training.
Every family has its own specific needs and goals when it comes to training its dog, and every dog learns at his own particular pace. That’s why I prefer goal-oriented sessions. If you want to teach your dog to walk on a leash or stop chewing up your personal items, you don’t want a trainer to wrap up the session before the goal has been achieved. My aim is to work with you to create goals and devote as much time as necessary to the task we’re working on — and not stop until you see the improvements you’re looking for.
If your pup is in need of training, contact me for more information. We can work together on a wish list of good behaviors and get started with positive, loving training sessions that will lead to a well-behaved pup!
